GOOD NEWS! Friday Practice stays as it is!!

As we've been discussing over on the PGF1 facebook page, The Formula One teams wanted to scrap Friday's morning practice session, moving scrutineering and media commitments to the Thursday meaning they could cut costs by turning up a day later.

However at today's meeting of the F1 commission in London it was decided to leave Friday practice as it is due to resistance from the circuits to lose more track time at a period when they are already struggling to sell tickets. Also why would fans want a Friday ticket if there was only 1 90min session?

Thankfully the teams have seen sense and are looking at other ways to curb costs including a slight reduction in staffing levels permitted at a GP weekend, longer parc ferme periods and a deal to reduce the tyre bill by running Pirelli branding on the tyre blankets.
